Lessons are run on a weekly basis (Tuesday afternoons) between 2:30pm and 4:30pm for a duration of 25 minutes in small groups of up to 4 pupils at a time. The cost is £60 per half term. The aim of the lessons is to create a constant weekly education, in order for a child to develop competency on the instrument. Children can start the drumming from reception class onwards. All equipment is provided offering a variety of resources from acoustic drum sets, electric volume controlled drum sets, practise pad and silent drums, head phones, PA and percussive instruments as well as sheet music, backing tracks and work set for practise outside of our lessons are available online in our 'For Students' section. All pupils play and practise together throughout the lesson and rotate from one station to the next. It is not essential to have drums at home to get started in school. Rockley Music do provide information and advice to parents on purchasing equipment upon request.
